I’m Robert (Bob) Harper, a graduate product design student from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, Scotland.
My design portfolio is built on versatility and a desire to learn new skills to bring to future endeavours. I utilise a variety of analogue and digital technologies, from soldering, circuitry and audio technology to microcontrollers and coding to aid in my design work alongside 3D modelling, rapid sketch prototyping, digital making and iterative design and research cycles.
My work aspires to put people at the centre of the design process and has involved research and development with mentors, students and the very people I want to design for, and with. Much of this has revolved around mental health and disability, with an aim to understand, empathise and continue to break down barriers through good design.
In my spare time, I’m a very keen home cook, gig-goer, and crafter. I also enjoy playing bass guitar and having far too much tea.
